This Hybrid's Story

Excellent offensive choice, 4805 has the yield punch that compares with 110-111 RM hybrids. Strong emergence, stand establishment, and solid canopy, builds a medium plant with good intactness through harvest. Very low risk of greensnap along with solid drought hardiness and good defense against Goss Wilt enhance the western performance. 4805 has a long, semi-flex ear type, that will respond to increased seeding rate as total management increases. A hybrid that responds very well to post applied fungicide, avoid saturated soil conditions.

Key Characteristics

Strong Emergence
Low greensnap risk
Avoid poorly drained soils

This Hybrid's Story

Solid, compact, and sturdy, with eye opening yield capability. A hybrid that simply does the job beginning with very good, uniform emergence. A moderate sized plant, with a deep rich color and health that leaves it intact with good stay green at harvest, aided by the ASR gene to combat anthracnose stalk rot late in the season. A semi-determined ear with 16-18 kernel rows on a small cob that packs grain in tightly, with a deep kernel set. Is well placed south of maturity due to heat tolerance as well as movement north, where it would be a full season hybrid.

This Hybrid's Story

Widely adapted for moderate to high-yield level environments. The Medium-Tall plant has long leaves that are semi-relaxed in the lower canopy and upright in the upper canopy for better light interception by the ear leaf. The girthy ear has tightly packed kernels with good length while generally having some tip on the ear. Strong response to fungicide in tar spot and southern rust environments. This VT4Pro® hybrid brings black cutworm, western bean cutworm and corn earworm protection over a SmartStax® hybrid with very good corn rootworm protection.

This Hybrid's Story

A strong, robust hybrid that plants its way from tough to top performing farms. A great start lends to a great finish as this hybrid emerges, establishes stand, and moves to canopy in quick and early fashion. As strong a root system as you will find along with a strong stalk and low risk of greensnap supports and fuels a girthy, semi-flex ear type. Drought and heat tolerance attract it to southern corn-belt climates, and Goss Wilt defense makes for great western movement as well. Late health and standability complete an outstanding package for wide acre purposes.

This Hybrid's Story

Impressive top end yield, with a strong back-bone of stress tolerance led by root strength, very low greensnap risk, and Goss’ Wilt defense. The semi-determined ear is blocky with good kernel count that can produce under more stressed conditions, at the same time able to yield at the top end with increased seeding rates. A moderate plant height and stature assists the stalk strength, late standability while lowering greensnap risk. With that size will want to use caution on light, sandy soils, high pH soils and steep slopes.

This Hybrid's Story

A very offensive hybrid with great dual-purpose potential. 5023 is a MediumTall plant with wider leaves for quicker canopy. A consistently girthy ear up and down the row over multiple locations brings the yield. Good preliminary silage data with the dense canopy and plant size. Nice staygreen into the fall for an extended silage harvest window, and grain harvest. 5023 responds to additional population and management.

This Hybrid's Story

Defensive to all-purpose to strong yield environments. Heat and drought tolerance lead the agronomic package that performs in tougher, moderate yield environments. 5110 has shown great consistency across soil types and years. Strong in moderate planting rates, with deep kernel flex that responds to foliar fungicide. The plant size is built for rolling, variable farms with size to roll up steeper slopes, take higher pH hillsides, clay bottoms, and still bring home the yield.

This Hybrid's Story

A high-performance hybrid that is very responsive to management with a flex, blocky ear type. Excellent stand establishment with emergence, vigor and uniformity. Excels when planted early in heavy, wet soils as well as in minimum tillage practices. 5619 is a moderate-height plant with very uniform ear placement. The stalk strength and lower greensnap risk are accentuated by the moderate plant size. A deep and penetrating root system that performs well in heavy soils, as well as more coarse soils with lower organic matter. Top-end yield and solid agronomics.
